Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen is the new President of Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History

The Presidency of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History was assigned to the Vice President Prof. Dr. Yüksel ÖZGEN, following the appointment of the President Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hekimoğlu as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Oman. Prof. Dr. Hekimoğlu handed over his duties as the President of Atatürk Supreme Council Culture, Language and History to Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen during a ceremony held on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023.

The ceremony held at the Lieutenant General Suat İlhan Conference Hall of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History was attended by the Ambassador of Oman, Prof. Dr. Muhammet HEKİMOĞLU, the Ambassador of Tehran Prof. Dr. Derya Örs, the President of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History, Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, the President of the Turkish Language Association Prof. Dr. Gürer Gülsevin, the President of the Turkish Historical Society Prof. Dr. Birol Çetin, the President of the Atatürk Culture Center Dr. Zeki ERASLAN, President of the Manuscript Institution of Turkey Prof. Dr. Muhittin Macit and the officials and staff of the Supreme Council.

At the ceremony, the heads of the sub-institutions made speeches, thanking Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hekimoğlu for his services and wishing him success in his new position. In his farewell speech, Prof. Dr. Hekimoğlu emphasized the importance of the 2023 Academy Vision of the Supreme Council, thanked the officials and all employees of the institutions, and conveyed his best wishes for success to Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, who was appointed as the President of the Supreme Council.

After the presentation of the gifts and flowers given in memory of the day, the ceremony ended.
